We need the votes for Broward County

Voting Rally Tomorrow! Join us Saturday, April 14, for a special “Rock the Vote” rally in order to generate votes for the Qualifying Heat in the 2012 Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. Broward County Animal Care is currently in sixth place and we are attempting a first-place finish in order to automatically win a $25,000 grant. The rally will be held at our Fort Lauderdale Adoption Center, 1870 SW 39 St., Fort Lauderdale. The event will feature musical entertainment by Scott Evans Productions, as well as free family pet pictures, face painting, refreshments and pet treats for all who vote. So please support our effort to save lives!

Bottle Feeders Urgently Needed! Kitten season, from May to September, is almost here. It is during this time of year that we see a big increase in the number of young kittens that come into our Adoption Centers. Many of these kittens are orphaned and, therefore, must be bottle fed by a loving and caring Foster Parent in order to survive. Very young kittens must be bottle fed within hours of arriving at our shelter, so a strong team of bottle feeders is essential to their survival and growth. Foster Parent applicants should be able to have the time to bottle feed every few hours day and night. To register to provide foster care, please contact our Foster Coordinator, at 954-359-1313 ext. 9271.

Make a Difference Today. Now it’s even easier to make a donation to help support the homeless pets of Broward County Animal Care. Contributions can now be made as a one-time donation or can be scheduled to be made each month. In addition, donations can now be directed to specific funds, such as the No-Kill Initiative, Medical Development, Shelter Enhancement, Spay/Neuter Programs, Public Education, or General Animal Welfare. To choose a fund and make a one-time or on-going donation, go to broward.org/animal and click DONATE TODAY.
